A monopole is a specific type of pole which is monolithic in design. Typically constructed of steel, consist of one main stem or pole which is anchored to below-grade concrete caisson. Monopoles do not have horizontal telecommunication wire attachments. This design makes them one of the least intrusive and easiest towers to erect.
