High Mast Poles are fabricated from High Tensile steel plates folded to form a polygonal structure and welded longitudinally as per BS-5135/AWS. Masts of 12.5, 16 & 20 meters length are in two sections and 25 & 30 meters are in three sections. A mast has its base a fully penetrated flange which is free from any laminations or incursions. The flange is provided with strengthening gussets between bolt holes for stiffening. For environmental protection and long life the entire mast is Hot Dip Galvanised (HDG) using single dipping process for uniform coating. High Mast Lighting Poles can be designed to withstand Wind up to 225 KMPH.
Mobile crown for flood light is in the form of lantern carriage made of HDG IS 4923, tubular section and attached to a raising and lowering mechanism. A HDG head frame protects the crown and provides base for lighting finial.
tubuler-steel-pole-final.jpgDoor opening in the base of the mast is large enough for easy access to accessories viz. winch, cable, stainless steel wire rope, power tool etc. The bottom sections is designed to prevent buckling under dynamic wind load despite door cavity.
The Dynamic load depends on Wind speed and varies from region to region (33 meter/sec to 55 meter/sec).
